IRSF was established in July 2007 through the merger of the International Rett Syndrome Association and the Rett Syndrome Research Foundation.
IRSF's three-pronged mission is to focus on Research seeking treatments and a cure, Family Support and Advocacy.
IRSF is the largest private source of funds for biomedical research on Rett Syndrome.
